TROUBLESHOOTING

The program doesn't run!

That's probably because version 1.1 of the .NET framework is not on your machine. You can download it from here

If the program still doesn't run after you've installed the .NET framework, try our technical support

I can't see any of my contacts!

That's probably because the system can't see the database. There's two possible reasons for this:

1. You must have either MS Access or Microsoft Data Access Components installed. If you don't have either one of these, you can download MDAC from here

2. In the same folder as the .exe file, there is a text file called db_location.txt. This first line of this file must point to buckymail.mdb.

I can't send mail!

1. Make sure you are on the Internet when sending mail.

2. Make sure you have set up your BuckyMail connection correctly. For help on setting up your connection, click here

When I try sending mail to a very large group of recipients, the server throws me off!

That's probably becuase your Internet Service provider prohibits the sending of mass mail. Try using Direct Delivery instead of SMTP. For help on the topic, click here

Sometimes it takes very long to send mail!

There are three reasons why mail might take long to send out:

1. The group of recipients you are sending mail to are a very large group.

2. The Message you typed up is very long and contains images and logos.

3. You have added very large attachments.

The Program Freezes up!

This is probably because the program is waiting for a response from the server and isn't getting one. Make sure you have TimeOuts enabled. For help on activating TimeOuts, click here

The Messages I send out come out blank!

That's probably because you typed out a message in TEXT mode and then send it whilst in HTML mode or vice versa.

My Spell Checker doens't work!

BuckyMail needs a dictionary of English words. It gets this dictionary from Microsoft Word. If you do not have Microsoft Word on your machine, the spell checker cannot work.
